Christian art of Egypt — icons, textiles, manuscripts — inside the Babylon fortress area.

Founded in 1910 inside the area of the Babylon fortress, the Coptic Museum holds a large collection of Christian art from Egypt: stone carvings, icons, textiles, manuscripts and woodwork. Its galleries trace the transition from late antiquity to the Islamic era, and the building's own carved ceilings and mashrabiya screens are part of the visit.
